    I don't know if this is the place to say it, but there we go Fun fact: DST is the same as Sexual transmitted disease in portuguese, I speak portuguese and when I ask them to start playing DST and forget to say the full name they think I am joking, Lol.

    Notes: It is because "Doença Sexualmente Transmitida" or STD is abreviated as DST in portuguese.

    I can't pass even a single level of adventure mode. I'm not new to the game. Am I missing something?

    I have 200+ hours on each of DS and DST. I'm not a newbie (though I would say I've only recently started doing "research" like looking up strategies versus just guessing through gameplay - i.e. my friends and I play DST often and only recently learned about how good football helmets are compared to the rest of the armor. I haven't explored the ruins. I'm pretty bad at kiting. Etc.)

    I know it's supposed to be hard! But I've tried at least a dozen times so far and haven't even passed any of the first levels. I like the challenge but would also like to actually experience all of Adventure Mode at least once, prioritizing "enjoying all of the game". (I've tried different characters.)

    Anyone have:

    • Tips/strategies, like "definitely use football helmets" as listed above?
    • Ways to make it easier on me? (Characters, world gen settings, etc)

    Hey guys I made Gabriel’s varg farm but in solo ds it was much more complicated becouse there are no statues of fosiles and there are no winonas catapults in solo but i did it one thing is that hounds are still attacking me can someone tell me why

    i have a ice chester but it died his stick is still vhite but it is not ice chester do i have to re transform it or its gonna auto transform at full moon?

    So I do enjoy games like Terraria, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Kingdom, and a variety of other simulation games. But it seems like Don't Starve just doesn't "click" for me.

    I've been trying Don't Starve for a couple years now, very on and off so I'm still mostly a beginner, but I can't seem to grasp a good progression for the game. At certain points, I feel like I become self-sufficient and I feel like I don't have to explore the game further.

    So I'm here to ask, what got you hooked into the game? Is it something I have yet to touch? Share your own story cause I'm interested if there's something more interesting going on behind everything. Maybe the game is just designed to be more replayable instead of progressional. IDK just tell me more about the game

    Beginner friendly characters

    I'm gonna play DST with two friends of mine who are beginners (they have around 10h on Steam). I'd like to know your suggestions for which characther to suggest them to play with, and which one should I play to help us.

    I have Wigfrid and Wortox in mind for me to play, since Wig can provide helmets and Wortox can heal

    Stagehand plays a tune when following you

    I was playing with my friend and a stagehand started following me. I noticed that it was playing a tune. Does anyone know when this feature was added? I couldn't find mention of music anywhere on wiki.

    shipwrecked & hamlet dlcs

    I have kind of wanted to get the shipwrecked and hamlet dlcs recently, and I had a few questions.

    obviously it requires the base game, which I do not yet have (only dst), in addition to the prices of the dlcs. I was curious if this is a fair price for the dlcs (even though I would obviously wait for a sale).

    it also seems like both have a bit of controversy around them, hamlet especially. I've heard that it is quite buggy, as well as having some other glaring issues,and I was wondering about that as well.

    basically, with the base game cost in mind, are they worth it, and what problems should I look out for?
