    What are you supposed to do during every season that isn't Autumn?

    It really seems like the game wants you to just stay in your base for the entire season whenever it's Winter, Spring or Summer as going anywhere else will unleash hell on Earth, but it seems extremely boring to me to spend half of the game just refueling and waiting by your fire, and all of Summer either in a closed off area to prevent things burning randomly as soon as you see them or spend the entire season in caves.

    Rabbit puffs or catcoon hat? Doesn't protect for more than 20 seconds. Umbrella? Doesn't stop the rain meter from increasing if you're not waiting under a tree.

    And dear god do I hate the rain. Increases the rain meter incredibly fast, makes your fires burn out like 200% faster, makes you constantly insane, and forces your weapon and tools to fall every 3 hits.
    As if it wasn't enough to spend 15 days sitting by a campfire, now you have to do the same thing for 20 more days but with the added bonus of being forced to grab 3 times more wood.

    Do caves prevent smoldering in ROG?

    Caves for the first time.

    What weapon would you recommend to enter the caves? I went in once and narrowly escaped the path of Splurnonkeys in a nightmare cycle.

    I was planning on changing plans and doing some of the celestial stuff and maybe using glass cutter due to all the nightmare creatures.

    Is that the best strategy?

    Question about Co-op (DST)

    So the plan was that me and my friend would buy this game so we could play. Now I convinced my brother to play with us and the whole thing I was going on was that I was going to be able to coop and be online at the same time. Just before I got off I found out that's not the case when I'm joining someone's server. My brother couldn't join as a coop partner- so my question is, is it possible that if I host the server, my brother can still play coop and have my friend join at the same time.

    Year of the Carrat

    I remember when I played the event when it first came out, I decided to test it out. But I remembered that Carrats would lose stats slowly, so it would feel kind of pointless to keep training them over and over again for them to lose their stats. Was this just some kind of glitch, or am I just remembering the event wrong?

    I need help lok

    I'm on the switch and I've made it to cave depth 2 after beating the spider queen for the first time but my game keeps freezing now I just made it to cave depth two I'm at the rope but it won't load I've tried restarting it but it saved there any idea what I can do to make it load or something

    My old farms still exist?

    So, I have a 1,400+ day Winona solo file on DST that I hadn't opened in a while, and I just recently heard there was a farming update, and that the old way of farming no longer exists. So I decided to go back into it and see how my setup had changed . . . . only to find that it hadn't. My old farm plots are still there, and seem to function like they used to as well. Anyone know what the deal is with this?

    Is using player ghosts to your advantage considered cheating?

    For example, I kill myself and go to the ocean to find the lunar island, since ghosts are way faster than boats and you don't need any resources, then after that I revive myself and use a boat to go there. Other one I find useful is to track suspicious ghost piles as a ghost because, again, no resources are needed and you don't agroo vargs or ewecuses in case you find one of them. The last thing I thought a ghost might be useful for is haunting blueprints that we already have so they turn into new ones. But then, those feel kinda cheaty, especially the first one, since you can just walk in a straight line with no penalties. So what do you think?

    How do You Tend Plants as Wes?

    I looked it up, and one thing showed up on the klei forum but I still have no idea how to talk to plants, and this is important obviously to get you know,, big plants

    How do I talk to plants as Wes? Ngl I rather not start a new game just to be able to farm easier ya know?
