    Advice needed for soul farm, sanity station and nightmare fuel farm

    After recently getting Wortox, and seeing how he only gains half sanity from food, I started to look around for alternate means of sanity regeneration. Old-time DST players might know of the sanity stations that Wendy used to be able to build, and which were then since removed from the game, so I've tried to look for other ideas.

    One of such was planting flowers in a 3x3 or 5x5 tile grid, haunting them to turn them into evil flowers, then standing in the middle with a bee queen crown and letting sanity regen... gave it a whirl, but the end results were honestly pretty fucking underwhelming. Improving on said design led to the following, though it requires character switching if solo:

    • sisturn in the middle - 25 sanity regen/min if standing close
    • 3x3 to 5x5 tile grid of evil flowers - for even more sanity with bee queen crown
    • a handful of homeless bees for replicating evil flowers - so one can pick any new flowers up and refine them into nightmare fuel
    • punching the butterflies that spawn - for a few extra souls and wings

    This setup would lead to somewhere around 55-60 sanity regenerated per minute, which is... adequate. At least it's a hell lot better than gathering, cooking and eating 8 cactus fruit/green mushrooms, and also allows the player to also get souls and nightmare fuel, with the option of just throwing down a couple of bee boxes next to it for honey.

    Still, it feels like there should be better options - the only way to improve the above design would be finding an Ice or Fire Staff Trap set piece, and pushing the hounds next to sisturn, which is way to random to be reliable (and doesn't give 200 sanity/min, dear wiki).

    Are there any better design for farming sanity, souls, or even nightmare fuel? Does anyone know of any better ways to improve the aforementioned sanity "farm"?

    edit: another thing that popped into my mind are tentacles under the evil flowers. sure, it would involve a lot of running around, but might double sanity gain. still, seems somewhat dangerous.

    also, treeguards have a -40/min sanity aura, which becomes +20/min with bee queen crown. question is, how the hell do you put treeguards to sleep? (and lure them to your base)

    So I have a problem

    I'm playing hamlet its currently the aporklypse, I'm wx-78 I'm overcharged for like 60 days because the thunder bird hit 10 times and i have gnats i can't craft a bug be gone or use a poison area because the herald island doesn't have any. I can't go to click on the entrance because of the gnats and i can't craft a bug be gone because of the gnats preventing me from craft a science machine. Does anyone know how I can get rip of the gnats without dying. FYI I'm on switch.

    Is there any point fighting the bosses?

    They seem to give fairly ok loot, but nowhere near what I'd expect considering their boss status. What's the reason to go through all the effort and hardship to fight them?

    Lag issue on dedicated server

    Hello,

    I've run into a lag problem with playing on a dedicated server. Basically me and 5 friends are trying to play on an external machine. The server has 10 slots but when we are all connected togheter in game the entire world starts to heavily lag. The world has 10 days, size is huge, and we have 20 mods, but apparently none of these caused lag issues. We have also try to disabled "lag compensation" on option but the issues persists. When we play only in 4 the server ping turns green ( 3 notches).

    What do we have to do?
