WX-47 is pretty awesome + question Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:12 PM PST I love using WX because even though they have the lowest stats at the beginning, they can be pretty OP late game after eating 15 gears. I DID have a question tho, if I die and I get resurrected buy the resurrection stone (surrounded by pig heads), do I lose gears/upgrades? I play the pocket edition for reference. Thanks again [link] [comments]

Is there a certain type of person who chooses to be Wortox when joining an existing server? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 06:26 PM PST A lot of people who join our existing server who choose Wortox have done many of the following things:
Many people playing different characters do some of these things but the Wortoxes I encounter do at least 4 of these things. [link] [comments]

Some tips for Wormwood players in DST Posted: 02 Feb 2021 08:06 AM PST TL;DR: -Compost wrap makes you bloom -When in full bloom walk on crops to socialize instantly -Compost wrap is the best fertilizer -Full bloom makes you go fast -Bramble gear is underrated -Keep your health at around 100 for the possibility of living log farming with Wortox. Full post: So with the new update there have been some tweaks made to how Wormwood plays as the assigned farmer, so here are some tips and tricks I've found while playing as Wormwood in pubs: 1-Compost wrap So compost wrap works differently in DST than in Hamlet, in Hamlet it heals 30 health flat, however in DST it heals 8 health flat along with 32 hp over 32 seconds, similar to how jelly beans heal. Not only that, but compost wrap is also THE BEST fertilizer item you can get, providing 3 growth formula, 4 compost and 3 manure to the soil tile you fertilize, helping a lot in giving your starter plant the nutrients they need before you're able to make self-sufficient farms. On that note, it and Glommer's goop are the only sources for growth formula nutrients in land. 2-Farming It's already common knowledge that Wormwood is the only character that's able to assess the need of plants without the need for a premier gardener hat, allowing him to more effectively tend to a farm plot. One thing that people may not know however, is that when in full bloom, Wormwood needs to only walk on the plants to satisfy their needs for socializing, saving on instrument costs and time. 3-Blooming So we've covered how blooming is useful for farming, but what else is there? Well, when in bloom Wormwood receives a speed bonus depending on the bloom stage he's currently in, being able to match the speed of a charged WX-78 at full bloom, I know that from experience. Also, bees will follow you, this can be annoying, but it also means that in spring, when the bees act more like wasps, they are their usual neutral selves around wormwood, meaning that Wormwood can mall through bee hives without worries. And there's a good way to make sure wormwood either stays in bloom after spring, or to even start blooming before spring: compost wrap. Yes compost wrap again, when you use compost when not in any stage of bloom, Wormwood will IMMEDIATELY advance to the first stage, progressively advancing until he hits full bloom, you can do this in any season. However, this is only temporary, meaning that if you want to keep in bloom, you must use compost wrap every 1-2 days when in full bloom to ensure a year-round bloom. This is all however countered with Wormwood's gradually increased hunger rate, meaning that for every stage of bloom, you will become hungry faster, and make no mistake you WILL eat through the team's ice boxes daily, so be mindful of that. Though if you commit to farming, this shouldn't be a problem. 4-Sanity One thing many Wormwood players may find difficult to deal with is sanity. Wormwood looses sanity when he "sees" plants die, meaning that you can't help with your friends' logging operations without going insane. Now this may be used in your favour, by digging some saplings or spiky bushes along with some logging you can go purposefully insane to farm nightmare fuel. To regain sanity, Wormwood can plant new plants in place, so be part of Team Trees, and grab any uprooted plants, seeds, pinecones and birch nuts and replant them when you see fit. As a result of this, a good way to regain sanity while on the run, simply dig up some saplings, it will loose you 5 sanity and give you some twigs, after that, replant it wherever, gaining back 10 sanity. This gives a net gain of 5 sanity, this means you can effectively farm sanity whenever you need, so it really shouldn't be a problem. 5-Bramble gear While I personally don't use neither the bramble suit nor the bramble traps, it's always a good idea to keep them in mind as choices for bosses such as Bee Queen or Spider Queen, as the traps deal damage in a radius of 1 tile, meaning that they are optimal with these bosses. Pai this with enough bramble suits and football/battle helmets for the team and you should be golden for fights like these if you, like me, can't kite bosses effectively. 6-Living logs This one's obvious, but remember that Wormwood can sacrifice 20 health for a log, now this usually means that whenever there's a Wortox in the server the chances of them asking you to farm for living logs are effectively 100%. Now I personally don't mind this, but do keep in mind that Wortox can out-heal you, meaning that he will waste 2-3 souls sometimes in trying to get you to heal, due to this, whenever there's a Wortox on the base, I usually chop off 1-2 living logs to keep my health at around 100 so production can keep up with the souls dropped. So that's all I can think of for now, if you have other tips or tricks with Wormwood, leave them in the comments, I'm always striving for new knowledge on our favourite plant boi. How does cold resistance work? Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:58 AM PST Hey y'all, got another question for y'all! In an attempt to FINALLY get past winter, I learned about clothing for help you in the cold! I get the concept of cold resistance, but how does it actually work? And if you have a thermal stone on your person, does warm clothing make the stone stay warm longer? Thanks y'all for all the support! [link] [comments]
