    whenever I try to start the game it just says the game is already going even though it isn't (doesn't even show up on task manager) and I can run other steam games.

    do you guys know any fixes?

    So I just recently bought DST on steam but the combat with mouse and keyboard feels a little off. I've played on PlayStation previously and the combat seemed fine with controller. I've had to resort to using an Xbox controller on my PC but I feel like I'm missing out on the experience if I don't use mouse and keyboard. Any tips?

    Hi everyone,

    I am an average DST player. Got around 150h into the game, I never made it to summer yet (every game I had recently we would just pass winter with some friends and then stop out of boredom more than difficulty), and I've never adventured into the Caves/Ruins or Lunar Island.

    With the quarantine hitting again, and the Steam sales for halloween, I bought DST for my gf, hoping we could try to survive together and have fun. She usually plays Animal Crossings, so that stressing world will probably be hard at first, but I'm sure we will have a blast once we're both used to it.

    Would you have any advice for introducing DST to her? Any character recommended/NOT recommended (I usually play Wigfrid, so I guess it will help her out on the combat side)? Anything I should tell/show her before she plays? And since she would play on a macbook, should I give her a mouse with the integrated keyboard or a controller?

    I'm sure I'm overpreparing, but it's Don't Starve, so it's kind of the theme...

    EDIT: When saying average I don't pretend to be good on any point in this game, I just want to say that I'm not a complete beginner and already know some things or two, but every advice is appreciated!

    my wife and I have done multiple playthroughs, longest survival was 74 days, and we typically have 1 main base and 1 outlier base... it got me thinking.... how many bases do you guys have?

    thought because of world gen that my lunar island would be over here, do i need to go further out or could it be to the left/right of my pathing or am i looking in the wrong area?

    Can Chester go into caves in RoG?

    I couldn't find anything on the wiki pertaining to that, only for DST. Would be amazing to bring ice chester down there with me to store foods.
