I wrote all the things I could understand of this image down below in the comments.

"There is nothing in this life but mist, and we will only be alive for a short time..." - I drew another quick Wendy with the new mob to be introduced in her upcoming rework, the Pipspook.

    Wendy Rework: The Numbers

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 06:02 PM PDT

    ABIGAIL'S HEALTH:

Starts with 150 max Health and doubles every 480 seconds (1 full day) to a maximum of 600. If you have a Sisturn up, her max Health doubles every 120 seconds instead.

This is basically a straight up upgrade. Instead of having to spend 3 days with no Abigail, you spend 2 days with a more fragile Abigail.

    ABIGAIL'S DAMAGE:

The formula for damage is base + 40*x2, where x is the % of health that Wendy is currently missing. Base damage is 20 vs. a single enemy and 12 vs. multiple enemies.

The important thing is that the formula is a quadratic function, which means, in short, that Abigail's damage has been nerfed to hell and back. For those wanting a more detailed idea:

At x=0.25 (112 HP), Abigail gets... drum roll... +2.3 damage per second.

    At x=0.5 (75 HP), Abigail gets... +10 dmg/sec.

At x=0.707 (44 HP), Abigail gets +20 dmg/sec, bringing her single-target damage in line with her pre-rework self's nighttime damage.

At x=0.86 (21 HP), Abigail gets +30 dmg/sec, bringing her multi-target damage in line with her pre-rework self's nighttime damage.

At x=0.9 (13.5 HP), Abigail gets +32.4 dmg/sec. Also, you die in 2 hits or less.

And once you get all the way down to 1 HP, you get that treasured +40 dmg/sec... provided you don't get killed by something sneezing in your general direction...

    ELIXIRS:

    • Revenant Restorative - Regens 1 health/sec for 2 days, for a total of 960. Kinda nice if you plan to have Abigail fighting constantly, I guess?

    • Spectral Cure-All - Regens 20 health/sec for 15 seconds, for a total of 300. It's the fastest health gain Abigail will ever see, so it's not bad.

    • Unyielding Draught - I think this makes Abigail briefly invincible after she gets hit. Only lasts 1 minute anyway.

    • Choleric Acid(?) - Gives her 20% more damage, but only for 1 minute. Fortunately, it takes into account the bonus damage as well.

    • Distilled Vengeance - Deals 20 damage to anything that attacks Abigail for 1 minute.

    • Vigor Mortis - Makes Abigail move 75% faster for 3 whole days, which is super useful for all sorts of reasons... like, um... you know, the thing... Oh and you can haunt it as a ghost for a 3-second speed boost. But if anyone asks, you didn't learn that from me.

    Ectoherbology

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 05:00 PM PDT

So.. ectoherbology, the six potions... what they do? I tested some and I think I know what they do but I'm not sure of any of that, anyone know what they really do?

What I think they do (by testing them):
    Revenant Restorative - Heals faster
Unyielding draught - Abigail can't lose health for some time/some hits
Distilled vengeance - Damage taken by Abigail come back to the one who hit her
Vigor mortis - She moves faster and hits faster too

    How often do pipspooks spawn?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 03:07 AM PDT

First one spawned quickly and fully assisted it. Now i've waited at the graveyard for multiple days and night but haven't seen another spook. Do you know how often they spawn?

Some of my findings about Wendy's refresh

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 04:05 PM PDT

I know it has only been 4 hrs since her rework but here's some of findings so click if you want to find out yourself.

Wendy didn't get reworked. Everything about this focuses on Abigail.

Abigail starts out with a low maximum health and she grows stronger over time. She starts with
150hp and after couple of days she gets 300 max health and 600 health after that. When Abigail dies she gets reverted to her first form. Abigail can be summoned immediately after her "death" but her health regens normally while she is dead and spawns at her current health. Her health is also part of the UI now which makes it easier to know her health.

Edit: She takes a day to updgrade to each form.

Summoning Abigail gives Wendy little bit of sanity and she loses sanity when Abigail dies. You also keeps Abigail's flower. With the flower she can choose to make Abigail passive and only attack mobs that are about to hit either one of the sisters but she does not chase the attacker. (She doesn't even attack mobs you're hitting.) This means that she cannot attack long range mobs like Mctusk in this form and won't protect Wendy if attacker is out of her reach.

Or you Wendy can choose to rile Abigail up and she will attack anything in sight aside from follower or other players. She does attack Glommer but this is most likely unintended.

Abigail's damage doesn't chance based on time of the day but instead Wendy's health. Her base damage is 20 but it gets stronger when Wendy's health gets lower. However it doesn't scale linearly. At 140hp she deals 20.2dmg but at 130 she deal 20.8. At literally 1hp she deals 59.5 dmg same as a fresh hambat.

She only deal around 75% of her current damage when fighting against multiple enemies. So when Wendy is high health and Abigail is fighting multiple enemies that can't be stunlocked she sucks. A lot.

Abigail can now be powered up with Wendy's new items. These items need mourning glory; an item that you can get from new pipspooks that spawn from graves. To get this new item you need to assist them(right click). After that the spook shows Wendy a way to spooks lost items(it goes near Wendy and stops in the direction of the item so go towards it and keep walking). The items are invisible but they come visible when you are next to them. The spook has little pulses on their head that grows larger closer you are to the item. After finding it the item turns to mourning glory. Each pipspook can locate 3-4 items and the last item gives 4 mourning glory. So 6-7 mourning glory per spook.

Only one of these items can be active at a time and they don't last too long(someone smarter than me can correct me). All of them can be made without a science machine.

Revenant restoration. Spider gland and 1 mourning glory. Doubles the rate that Abigail regains health(to 2 per second). Not that great but it's really cheap.

Spectral Cure-all. Telltale heart and 4 mourning glory. Abigail gains extra 20hp per second.

Unyielding draught. Log and 2 mourning glory. When Abigail gets hit she gets a force field that last for a second. This doesn't block the hit but all the hits during it. Useful against hordes of hounds and frogs.

Distilled vengeance: Living log and 4 mourning glory. After trying everything that came to mind I don't have any clue what this thing does. Doesn't damage attackers or mobs that kill Abigail. No defence or dmg boost. Someone who knows better then me please tell me.

Choleric tonic. Stinger and 2 mourning glory. Gives Abigail 20% dmg buff. Her maximum damage goes up to 71 dmg per hit.

Vigor mortis. Honey and 2 mourning glory. Abigail gets a speed boost and maybe a attack speed buff. By tactically riling and soothing I could make Abigail kite but it was pretty hard and might not be worth it.

Abigail and Wendy also got adorable new idle animations.

If I missed something go ahead and correct me.

Haven't played since 2017, looking for group to play DST with

Title. My computer broke in 2017 and I couldn't play the game until just recently. Now that I'm back and don't have many friends who play DST, I want to create a group and see how long we last.

I'm in the Eastern Time zone and go by megasonic34 on Steam(I made that account when I was 12. I don't know how to change the name and I want to)

This game needs a recipe book in-game

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 06:49 AM PDT

Once you craft a Crock Pot you should unlock a recipe book which remembers every recipe you unlock.

It's annoying having to fire up an internet browser to look for something I've already made.

Edit: everyone offering me strategies to min/max food supply this isn't that thread.
