    Silly theory on the origin of Glommer's name

    So I was studying anatomy and read about the glomerulus, which is a cute lil tuft of blood vessels in your kidneys that basically filters bad things out of your blood so that you can pee it out. The glomerulus is enclosed in the Bowman's capsule, which looks like a flower bud.

    Glommer follows the flower and 'filters' bad things from the constant, raising sanity (if you're close enough) . Then the bad things are released as Glommer goop (which lowers sanity when you eat it)

    Coincidence? I think not. 🧐

    I need advice on base building. Do i explore the whole map first and then build a base or find a specific location? If specific location, what biomes do you guys recommend?

    I usually go to the beefalo biome thing. It has lots of rabbit holes and has beefalo for winter. But throughout my play through's, i'm beginning to think that the beefalo biome is not AS good as it seems because i always end up nearing winter before finding one

    Do you play DS or DST for solo?

    So far I pretty much only play DST regardless if I'm going to play with others or myself. Should I start playing DS? I don't necessarily care about adventure mode, I just like playing to see how long I can live for.

    What little things annoy you as playing solo DST?

    For me it's:

    micro managing thermal stone durability (seriously, why is this a mechanic)

    Dealing with summer smoldering and either spending all your time refueling flingomatics around your base or constantly losing non-renewables on the surface unless you travel to the caves or ocean

    The entirety of winter (I wish I could skip it somehow)

    Crab king

    This is stuff I don't mind on the first 1-2 years but once you get far into the late game it gets really tedious and boring to deal with

    Cave tips?

    I've been playing for a while now but never had a computer that could run the game super well until now so I've finally decided to explore the caves. And I've died. Every time. I've realized no meat because of the bunny men and the red lights are bad cause they spawn too many shadow creatures at a time. Any good tips to help me make it past a few days down there? Or any tips on getting nee stuff from down there?

    Does klops despawns once spring comes?

    Do you think compost wrap is better or worse from Reap What You Sow?

    honestly think it's better for boss fights now rather than normal fights and old one was worse since rather than giving you healing over them when you need it it instead works like honey poultice but bad

    Is there a way to "duplicate" a DST world?

    I have a laptop that isn't very powerful and want to test if it can work with caves. Does anyone know if there is a way to duplicate a world on mac, to have it be two different worlds in the host menu?

    Any idea how to fix this?

    I'm trying to play the beta of the eye of the storm update but every time I launch it it does the same thing. No tab shows up, but the icon in the dock does. It still plays the music, and when I click on the icon there's still an option to change the window (close, minimize, zoom, full screen, etc.) I tried full screening it, as well as every other option, but once I full screened it the tab opened but was all black. I verified the files, followed Klei's instructions on how to launch the beta properly, and even deleted and reinstalled Steam and DST. I also restarted my computer and logged out multiple times from Steam. I play on a MacBook Air and it's up to date. I am also connected to wifi that is pretty strong. Any idea how this could be fixed or do I have to wait for the update to come out of beta?
