    Does DST Have shipwrecked?

    Posted: 22 Jan 2021 02:58 AM PST

I have searched about it, I couldnt find a recent post about it. I keep seeing rafts in DST videos and Warly is in the game now, so I am wondering was it added recently? if it wasn't, what is the best mod to play Shipwrecked on DST?

Combat in the game ruins it for me

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 01:57 PM PST

Not sure whether it's the controls, or that pressing the attack button doesn't mean an instant attack, but I've tried time and time again to get into the game but this ruins it for me. Any mods/ advice/ people who empathize, or will this just get downvoted to hell..?

A Question about Pierogies in DST

    Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:21 AM PST

Hey! New-ish DST player here, but I am starting to get the hang of stuff and may have my first long-term world in my hands! However, I am playing Maxwell, so healing is extremely important. So, what's the first food item that comes to mind (other than dragonfruit, I'm teamed with a Wigfrid lol)? Pierogi!

So, uh. How exactly are these made? I understand- 1 meat, 1 egg, 1 veggie, 1 filler, but like, what is a filler? Can I, in theory, do 1 meat, 1 egg, and 2 stonefruit? Would that work? Or does there have to be something else there?

Also, I wanted to look into a way to farm meat decently. I saw pig houses surrounding walls that have rot in them as an option. Is that effective enough to feed 2 people? If not, what other forms are effective?

As of right now, we only farm Stonefruit. Nothing else. We go on hunts and make jerky from that, but we're constantly hurting for meat. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks guys!

Best combat Trio in DST, try to change my mind.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 03:26 PM PST

Best combat trio is Wolfgang, Wendy and Warly. Before you start scratching your head wondering what the heck Wendy is doing here, and how tf Warly is on here let me explain.

Wolfgang: Obvious, no arguments here for anyone. At max hunger 25% speed 33% damage resistance 100% damage, Wolfgang is THE BEST combat character in DST. Although the buffs' potency decrease linearly with hunger loss just wear a friggin milk hat and night armor for maximum buff during boss fights.

Wendy: More ideal would be another Wolfgang but I didn't want any repetitions. With potions the usually frail Abigail suddenly becomes a tank and in ruins+caves she perpetually does 40 damage, useful against ancient guardian toadstool and fuelweaver. She's better than a Wigfrid because A: Wigfrid's helm pales in comparison to thulecite crowns and B: Her songs suck. Although Wig has 25% dmg buff and Wendy has a 0.75 damage DEBUFF a mechanic where Abigail curses targets which she attacks makes it so that Wendy does 10% and 40% more damage (stacked) to targets, meaning Wendy does have a damage buff when Abigail is attacking of 1.155. Plus the 10% buff also applies to other players, so the overall buff applied is actually superior to Wigfrid's damage buff.

Warly: New people will scoff, but they are unenlightened. Using his spices, you can draw 25% more healing buffs from foods, making food more efficient and you have to eat less frequently. ie. Pierogi heals 50 health instead of 40. His honey crystals make chopping mining and hammering 2x more efficient, so this is useful for Misery toadstool. Garlic foods give a 33% damage resistance, need I say more? However, pepper spice gives 1.2x damage buff, and his volt goat chaud froid, in the right conditions, gives a minimum dmg buff of 1.5x and a maximum buff of 2.5x (to wet targets). These buffs are stackable with Abigail and Wendy's buff, as well as Wolfgang's.

Combining every single buff, this team has perpetual 33% dmg resistance (1.7x for Wolfgang) more efficient healing, and a combined dmg buff of 13.36x. The significance is that this trio is capable of dishing out more hurt than 13 Wilsons!!!

Hey guys. I just started playing again after a year or so, and I was looking into all these things you can buy with bolts of cloth? I see a lot of skins, can you buy weapons and stuff? Like stuff that automatically join you in game?

Any more QOL mods that do not give you the advantage of default items already available?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 05:37 AM PST

Pretty new player here, and having a great time with friends and another server with siblings. I implemented mods that help with QOL but not give you info that other items will give later. Examples are: - Geometric Placement - Gesture Wheel - Show Nicknames (because we have two Wendys)

I'd like to ask if there are more, especially if there's one where you can insta-macro a message, such as "Retreat!" or something because some of them doesn't want to go into voice chat. Not really stuff like Combined Status where it makes it easier to track stuff; seasons can be somewhat tracked with the Thermal Measurer anyway, or Global Positioning that overtakes the Compass. But yeah, improvements that's provided for later in the game with items/structures, not really into those as well as my siblings and friends. Again, if you know of QOL mods that work like those would be nice, especially a quick message macro one; tried typing keywords but I couldn't find any at the workshop. Maybe ye folks know of one? Thanks!
