need some numbers on beehive sustainability

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:34 PM PST

I play as wendy, so my hunger drain is 9.375 hunger per minute, or 75 per day, and honey restores that same 9.375 hunger per unit, and restores 75 hunger for 8, so on 8 honey per day one could survive, a beehive holds 6 units of honey max, and a year is 70 days, so 70 days x 8 honey per day equals 560 honey per year, 560 honey per year divided by honey per box is 93.3, rounded up to 94, (you cant survive on less) so you would need 94 bee boxs worth of honey per year to bee self sustinging, my question is, what is your experience with flower to beehive ratio, and how long it would take to fill a hive, at 8 honey per day i only really need a reserve of 120 honey to get me through winter, and every other season they would be producing, so i'm guessing i'd need about 35-45 beehives to be 100% reliant on that alone (food isnt a problem, i jst find that it spoils too much before i use it, but honey spoils slowly, and not at all when still in hive, and with the bnnyman drops being reworked i'm looking at every way to get more food with little effort/risk)

    Don't Starve Together on Steam

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:11 PM PST

I purchased Don't Starve Together on Steam along with 6 DLCs of the game on the 29th of October, during the Halloween Sale. I also received a free copy of the game to give it to a friend on Steam, but that I still haven't given it to anyone yet, since I don't have any friends on the plataform. :-(

I installed the game but only played it for 30 minutes and left the game. The game didn't appeal to me as much as I tought it would. Is it possible to request a refund of the game and all its DLCs, since more than 14 days have passed after the purchase, but I only played it for 30 minutes?

Forgot to say: I don't get any game achievements, but get a Steam Trading Card of it. What is it for and what can I do with it?

    Thank you

Question: obtaining Elegant skins from weekly drops?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:12 PM PST

I recently looked at the market after getting Roseate Wes which I sold for like 1$ in my region. After looking at the wiki, apparently all skins but heirloom, loyal, event, etc. skins drop from weekly gifts; Elegant non-woven are marketable

My question is: are the ridiculously high priced Guest of Honor skins (not tagged Heirloom; only Elegant) obtainable from drops? If yes, am I correct to assume that getting these to drop have the same chances as having butterflies land on your coffee mug at midnight? If no, how do you get GoH skins?

Staying on DS or go on DST

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 06:43 AM PST

The main reason to stay on DS is because of the shipwreck extension that I really enjoy, but there are a lot of mods that are not available here but are on DST.

Will island adventures completely bring the shipwreck experience to DST ?

Winter makes me want to rip my hair out!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 03:36 PM PST

How in the WORLD do you survive winter?!!! Tips and tricks are much appreciated! I've never survived more than 5-6 days into winter and that's me scrounging for seeds and staying close to fires at all times. I usually play with my friend on DST and even together we just can't make it work. Is there a character better suited for winter. I usually have Wilson because I've had good luck with him but I've been using Willow as well.

    Pigskin farm tips

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 12:05 PM PST

I'm on a late world and i've cleared almost all pig houses and pig heads. I'm kinda a newbie so i'm bad at kiting, depeleting all my pigskin for football helmets and ham bats. My reserves are limited and i've alredy constructed 4 pig houses, but my luck isn't great: 1 pigskin every 6 day for two times. I could construct more pig houses but i feel like the results wouldn't be as great as the time and the resource depleted. So could somebody give me some tips or how to make a functioning farm (where pig don't eat their own loot and minimal player intervent)?

Does anyone use pig king to never worry about food?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:58 AM PST

I have been using pig king to farm lucky nuggets from pig belts. And I ended up getting 46 pig belts from making a bunch of pigs I relocated fight each other. And with the belts use them to start the minigame but have 4 lucky nuggets in a box with a gate. All of the warriors will go after them and you can take the ones pig king drops and end up getting roughly about 40 lucky nuggets from each pig belts. In theory of actually doing it I can get 1940 lucky nuggets and spend them at the pig shrine. So without doing literally anything else, I can just have like 300 tribute roast which restore full hunger each and just buy them whenever. Can use it to buy lights too to light up my whole base or long lasting lantern as a light to walk around with. So really all I have to worry about is fighting stuff and cutting wood for fire. Am I the only one who kind of abuses this to get farther in the game to get more done or does a lot of people use this?

    Shop Discount

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 03:25 AM PST

Hello! I've played 40 hours of DST so far and am loving playing with friends. I'm interested in purchasing in Wortox but am just wondering what are the chances of his chest going on sale during the Steam Winter sale? It seems to be on sale around 6.50 USD right now (rough estimate since I'm not from the US). If it goes on sale soon, I might be able to buy other stuff too.
