Need help understanding Lightning Rod range

Hello All. Playing Shipwrecked. I thought I understood the range of a lightning rod. Seemed pretty simple. 14 pitchfork tiles both horizontally and vertically, right? But I had lightning strike my base 7 horizontal and 10 vertical tiles from the pitchfork tiles from my lightning rod. So I must have misunderstood the range. Can someone clarify or me, please?

So in the original dont starve I am playing as Wendy and I spawned abigal. For some reason abigal looks worried and everytime I get closer to her she goes away. I am new to dont starve so any help would be appreciated (:

I am a newbie and have never gotten pass Winter. But I am annoyed of playing solo so I want some partner to be with me :D

I have hounds come every 13 days,and that is a maximum i think. Its been a long time. Also how do i deal with hounds without trap field??

A simple Character concept

-Name: (w)Marie.

-instrument: Church organ.

-Title: The nearly headless.

-Signature phrase: "If they have no bread, then let them eat cake"

-Favorite meal: Dragonpie.

-Stats: 250 hunger, 200 sanity, and 100 health

-Traits:

-A liking for gardening:

She will gain sanity for being near flowers and crops, on top of that, if she is the one to plant them they'll receive a bonus in growing speed and butterfly spawning.

-Somewhat has lost her head already.

She can willfully take her head off and use it as an item that has no durability but drains sanity when used, she can employ it as a tool or as a weapon that will scare off mobs. She can also upgrade it with custom wigs.

-Flowered wig: Reduces sanity cost, grants a chance of healing when attacking.

-Boat wig: Increases damage and speed.

-Golden wig: Reduces the time it takes to chop down trees and break boulders.

-Monster wig: Enrages enemies instead of scaring them.

-Fan of sweets and nothing else.

She will receive only half the stats from any savory dish.

-Some quotes:

-Pig king: "You remind me of someone"

-Moose Goose: "I know, I miss my children too"

-Petals: "I ruined it!"

-Garland: "I suppose if it's for the sake of decoration"

Tried playing with monkeys disabled and the ruins spawned completely empty no damaged clockworks, or the piled clockworks, no ancient science station, no ancient guardian, or ancient statues. I don't know if this is a glitch or guaranteed thing but this is the second time this happened to me and ended my run. I play in ps4 if that is necessary.

Lag in Don't Starve (original) after exiting game while playing

My laptop died while I was playing Don't Starve Shipwrecked. I'm confident this is the reason the problem has appeared, due to the fact that this has never happened to me on this laptop. If you know anything about how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate if you shared that knowledge.

Big Baddies

I just beat Bearger for the first time. It was pretty difficult but I had a good strategy with Warly. I just had to ask, who do you all think is the toughest seasonal boss? I've only beaten deerclops myself but I haven't really attempted moose goose or the antlion. I've only killed the mosings like the savage I am since you can make the luxury fan with just their drops. I was too afraid to even try the antlion. Are there bosses that are even tougher that I don't know of? Feel free to leave your thoughts.
