    Warly needs reasonable a buff (rant)

    i've always liked cooking in games, and or cooking games, so when Warly was added into DST first thing i did was of course, becoming the server Gordon Ramsey.
    (even got the chef skin and kept yelling lamb sauce n stuff when that got released)
    But after the meme was over and the people started leaving, i noticed how bad Warly is without the dream team.
    (wormwood, wicker, mainly wormwood tho.) and the sad realization of how underpowered this character is in a solo environment and how a couple tweaks could change that.

    N1- His early game sucks the most:

    An alone Warly is useless without farms, for that you have to scout the map and hope that you have some nice beefalos nearby the rock biome, a cave or another source of rocks for farms.
    By the time that you manage to get some farms, you're either starving to death constantly, or have little to no other infrastructure in your base.
    Winter rolls in and all your farms are useless... Great. Oh and you forgot the beeboxes and now have to wait till spring.

    How i think this issue can be fixed:

    Either buff improved farms so they give 2 different veggies each time (which is very unlikely as this affects all other characters, but they do suck)
    Or tweak Warly's early game so he can focus less on not starving too much those first few days, and more on getting a base going and scouting the map, like everyone else.

    An idea i got was to make every food he eats for the first time ever give a bigger bonus across the board.
    (When nothing is your favorite, everything is. -Sundae Hair man (or just return his Shipwrecked eating bonus toned down, pls -every Warly player))

    this could discourage the early game strat of just circling trough bacon n eggs, meaty stew, meatballsx2, But not nerf it for later.

    A strat which is also very time consuming for the early game as you have to be constantly hunting pigs or trails to not run out of beefalo if you didn't get enough in your world, giving you less time to get a base going once again.

    N2- Last resort exclusive meals:

    While cannibal bone soup and moqueca are great hunger wise, they require farms and when you're solo, you'll only start to see profits on farms the first spring soooo....

    I'm surprised by the lack of a special mandrake recipe with Warly; you're alone, got a few per world.
    A new food that gives 250 hunger or 200 would be awesome, the most hunger something gives is the new milk hat and that's less than 200, potential there.

    Would make a lot of challenge players happy too since they make a new world each time, a non guaranteed treat for them.

    Same with leafy meat, no special recipes for Warly, very sad. Although that's more later in the game.

    That's what i think his main issues are when playing solo/without a wormwood at least.
    What else you think should be changed, added, etc.

    The creator of Wilson and Maxwell get shipwrecked- (their name changes but it always is some variation of blob) wrote over 300000 words of various stories compiled on ao3, but the title currently takes me to a blank page. Has anybody got a downloaded version or an archive? It's honestly one of the best pieces of fancontent I've seen for don't starve, please help!

    Adventure mode Darkness level : I arrived in the marsh [bottom right] only needing the metal potato thing. Yet again a gigantic chess biome filled with hundreds of clockworks blocked the way. I only barely managed to get through once to the killer bee area to the left, only to realize that the land only has the wooden thing. Revealing the minimap to confirm my suspicion, I found the blasted potato thing on the OTHER SIDE of the chess biome! Meaning I have to cross the chess biome over an even larger distance two more times!

    At this point I just activated god mode and called it a day. Why can't I ever get spiders for my final biome instead of these infernal clockworks megacities? :'(

    Need advice on dealing with angry moslings

    I'm currently in second summer. As you can guess from the title, the moose/goose spawned during spring. I left it alone until it despawned. However, it left its kiddies behind.

    I don't know exactly what happened in the two most recent game days, but I think that the hounds in a recent hound attack might have attacked them. The moslings seem to have killed the hounds, but they're still in that pissy state where they're all red and attack you if you come close to them.

    Normally, I would leave them alone, but they're having their tantrum right next to my beefalo herd, which makes it dangerous to go near the beefalo.

    Are they going to go back to their cute/not angry state if I leave them alone for a little while? If not, what is a good way to kill them?

    I've tried fighting them, but I can't fight them when there's three of them attacking me at once. The beefalo are ignoring them. So, what do I do?

    New to Don't Starve - Buy the base game or DST?

    Hi, hopefully this isn't being asked too often around here, but the Steam sale for the franchise is a really tempting offer to potentially try this out.

    I have friends I could play with, but I expect to mostly play solo. Given the ongoing development, all the info I'm finding is years old and liable to be out of date by now so I'm not sure if it applies still. Is Don't Starve Together just like the base game but with more options and multiplayer? If I don't care too much about multiplayer, should I skip all the DST stuff and grab the base game cheap? Is the multiplayer version still unbalanced when played single-player, making it not ideal for a first experience with this series?

    I've seen these games a million times and never bothered to look into them much so this is a bit of a blind leap. I'm just looking for a little guidance from the community as to what's the best way for a total newbie to jump in.

    Got DS and DLCs because they're on sale and I'm pretty excited to try it out. Just started 3 days in the base game and the one thing that really threw me off was the range on the bees. Any other differences I should know? Can be in RoG as well though I don't have that on for now.

    So this post is about world hopping(Going through a machine to create a new world basically). I habe a RoG world connected to SW. Lets say I'm Webber. If I go to SW and World Hop and change characters, lets say Wendy, and then go to RoG and leave a bundle wrapped abigals flower there, would I be able to use it once I transform back into Webber? I'm asking this because I want to do it but I'm afraid of it crashing my game and deleting the world.

    Hi! Do any of you remember on which movie trailer Don't starve appears? I remember it was a sci-fi or horror movie. At the beginning of the trailer you see a kid on his room playing with toys or crafting stuff, and behind him you could see his computer with don't starve on the screen.

    A glitch with Woby?

    I'm playing a world with Walter and I fed Woby to make her go into beefalo mode. I tried to mount her but as soon as I didn't my game froze then crashed. If it helps, the mods I have on are:

    SERVER MODS:

    -beefalo info

    -Enhanced houndius shootius

    -eternal glow caps and mush lights

    -Health Info

    -Insulated Pack

    -No Thermal Stone Durability

    -Reusable Lazy Stuffs

    -Setpiece config
