So judging by the newspaper articles in the Wigfrid short I think the Don't Starve games may be set around the early 1900s. There was a devastating Earthquake in San Fransisco in 1906 and the model of the phonograph was used around that time as well. So this may have been when Maxwell Started.

Version Mismatch

Hello my fellow gamer friends
So, me and some friends decided to buy this amazing game to play sometimes, and after a while, our friend who has the best computer decided to run a dedicated server. So, the problem is, we are both in the same game version(432356), but whenever he tries to connect, he gets this error. The weird part is, I can connect normally, and as I said, we're both in the same version.
Any ideas?

PS: We already tried to update through Steam CMD, and we already tried reinstalling EVERYTHING server and client related(on his machine, obviously).

Character mod help?

I know you guys aren't wild about mods but I'm making some characters based on me and my friends just for fun, and also as an incentive for us to play more together. While I can do art and all that easy, I'm having issues with the code.

I've followed several different tutorials and gone on the Klei forums to read around and fix the issue, but I have yet to find a way to fix things. Anytime I load up the character mod (Note: I have no edited the PNG files in any way except for renaming) my game crashes telling me an error has occurred and to check my log.

There are a few things in my log that seem to be causing the issues, but I have absolutely no idea how to deal with them:

ModIndex: Detected bad load, disabling all mods.
Could not load mod_config_data/modconfiguration_cassian (Note: I do not have a modconfirguration_cassian in my mod_config_data - this is an issue i am sure but no clue how to fix this)
Could not load mod_config_data/modconfiguration_cassian_CLIENT
../mods/workshop-1275167632/modicon.tex is 316x316 but compressed textures must have power of 2 dimensions.

World customization not working for Hamlet

Never posted on this sub before but I'm going to lose my mind if I can't find out what's wrong

Every time I make a custom hamlet world I always set the hanging vines to less. I don't like the hanging vines but I don't want to take them out completely yknow? The amount never seemed to change much but I didn't really notice UNTIL I finally got sick of the vines and turned them all off. They're still there???? I realized this has been happening every time with almost every custom option, like some options they just won't apply. Like I can't make pikos less but I can turn them off? I can't make more boons but I can make more lotus flowers?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the dlc and the whole game and googled every key word i can think of and I can't find a way to fix it. I don't really keep up with the game online so I don't know if this is a well known bug or what but it's really starting to piss me off

Please help!!

Is the insanity gramophone actually speaking?

Recently I found a comment that made me think. We are all aware of the gramophone of insanity, it's a classic! But what if I told you that jolly song was not what it seemed.

We all know that the Don't Starve characters speak with instruments, it's a core mechanic in the game! But the real question is why does Maxwell hate that song so much? Obviously, because he had been hearing it for years, but what if it was actually speaking, and telling Maxwell something? I mean, it makes sense. I think the gramophone of insanity is actually speaking, and I want to know what you all think.
