Is it a good idea to buy monster lasagna as Webber in Hamlet? It's really cheap and Webber can eat it.

I banned someone who just joined

Has anyone had this happen to them? Basically I was playing with a friend and someone kept desperately trying to join. As soon as they tried to join the server would lag to unplayable levels. I had to ban them cause they would try to join, lag the server out and leave over and over. The server worked decently when they didn't try to join.

Is there a command or anyway to stop a fire immediately?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 06:12 PM PST

TLDR; I accidentally saved right when willow set a random fire in my base, it would destroy everything. Is there a command to delete the fire or stop it from happening? Any other way? The snow machine doesn't work fast enough.

Running into trouble around day 10-15

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 02:13 PM PST

Hi all, I'm new-ish to this game - played a bit a few years ago but never got very far, coming back to it now. I'm playing vanilla DS with no DLC. I'm finding that while I do pretty well in the VERY early game, I'm consistently running into trouble around the time that I'm starting to set up my base. Pretty much what happens is this:

I spend the first 7-10 days exploring the game world. During this time, not starving is easy - I just pick up berries and carrots and cook them at night, and since I'm always on the move, there's always an abundant supply. Around the time I start to settle down, maybe a few days after making my fire pit, I start to run into serious food problems. At this point I'm semi-established, but I don't have much in place yet. I might have a few traps to catch a few rabbits per day, and I probably have a crock pot to cook them in, but I am usually pretty low on berries and carrots at this point, and there's a good chance that the immediate area around me is basically picked clean. Maybe I have a few farms, but they are slow and random (in my last game I had two farms that I waited for anxiously, only to discover that one of them made durian, which to my surprise combined with monster meat to create inedible food. Whoops). Around this time I'm usually pretty hungry and having trouble scrounging up enough food to feed myself for long enough to let me do something other than look for food. So I'm basically in crisis mode and all my time is spent desperately trying not to starve, and meanwhile my other resources are getting depleted and it's hard for me to find the time to go get more without starving to death. To compound it, by this point in the game I could often use some healing for whatever reason, so everything is extra risky and hazardous as well.

It basically feels like I'm way out over my skis and everything starts to fall apart. I can imagine a time in the future where I have a lot of berry bushes close by that are regularly producing berries, a number of traps yielding frequent morsels that I can dry on my multiple drying racks, a bunch of farms humming along, etc - but I can't figure out how to ride it out until I get all that infrastructure built up. What am I supposed to be doing for food at this stage? Is this a point in the game where everyone is scrambling? Should I be hunting? Farming? Moving and fertilizing bushes? How do I find time to create sustainable food sources without dying before I have them in place?

I challenge everyone reading this to play Webber in Hamlet and destroy the hamlet with a massive army of spiders.
