    This happens every damn time: hounds come when im fighting DF, catapults focus the hounds and destroy the walls. the larvae come to me and eat my body while DF enrages at my face

    its on sale for $2.50 rn and im considering getting it. It does have some characters dst doesnt but they're mainly for shipwrecked, which i don't have. does it have any other things dst doesnt?

    Here another idea I had for a lunar boss in dont starve. Its just corrupted deerclops. His arm is supposed to be like crystally so if you guys could pretend I drew really good crystal there instead of what I actually did, I'd really appreciate it.

    Played DST for the first time with some of my friends (beginners). Being the veteran and showing them around I began growing gray hair with the amount of times I had to revive them and explain on why certain things should be done. Either way we never made it to winter but had a good time and the challenge of not starving to death. Any tips on surviving with a group? Its quite the change of surviving with a group rather than solo. Character selection too (Wilson main for his beard). I got ps4 so if you're down to join message me. (Playing for fun and don't take it serious)

    Hello all. So, my GF loves DST. I have NEVER played a game like it. And I typically don't enjoy games that are quite punishing. I play a ton of games, but I would rather saw my leg off than play Darksouls. My GF is no pro at the game, and hasnt played in a long time so some things have changed, but she is good at... not sucking and dying.

    DST with my GF is a ton of fun. The thing is, we have played 13 hours over the last week and I typically don't make it past day 20. Furthest I got was to winter once. Sometimes I have been known to die by day 6, but hey who knew that a tree could randomly go full LOTR on my ass when I decided we needed a log.. And well she laughs it off saying it just takes time. I am sitting here searching guides and wikis and just joined the discord because I feel terrible "holding her back" and cause I hate being bad at a game.

    I read a lot of things, and then I read stuff that says the first thing I read was wrong, or because that was Don't starve and Dont starve together is different, and ROG adds some new stuff. Some of the content on the sidebar answering questions is 5+ years old and I'm like "ok is that still relevant now..."

    Last night I played as wickerbottom and I really enjoyed her. The science bonus is fantastic! And the more I read about her books, the more awesome she sounds! I came up with a plan until I can stop feeling like I am that kid from class that thinks the blue crayon tastes better than the pink. For now, I am going to focus mostly on shit that cannot, easily, get me killed, but will help her. Keeping Stockpiles of raw mats, processed boards, and rope, Stone and Minerals. Trees I cut down, I replant the cones closer to base but not close enough that if one suddenly decides he is Treebeard he won't see my base and reenact the destruction of Isengard. Any food I can gather that I know won't fucking try and kill me. (looking at you mushrooms)

    I WAS trying to be helpful by spending until day 7 exploring the map as much as possible (which a lot of guides recommended!). But then dogs happened or finding out that NOT ALL pigs are neutral.

    I spent today reading a bit about wickerbottom and learned she cannot keep her sanity up via sleeping rolls. So... Tophat helps? But I literally learned that 15 minutes ago and 100% know that would have killed me after a few hours of playing otherwise. At this point, I pretty much keep my ass in the best armor I can make and a spear on myself at all times.

    I promise I have been reading a lot of material and watching youtube videos. And have told my GF tons of tips and tricks and knowledge she didn't know. Befriending pigs! Pig king gives gold! Gloomer is amazing cause he poops?

    I guess the main thing is- Is wickerbottom decent for a beginner? HOW do I combat her weakness of sanity loss easiest? And in general, how can I be of assistance to my Girlfriend well still learning so she doesn't have to hold my hand forever?

    Newcomer to DST, where to settle for winter?

    I bought DST and I'm playing a lot with my GF. I try playing solo to practice and improve but it seems that I waste too much time traveling for basic need(spider dens, rabbit holes, beefalo, fertilizer, boulders). Winter caught me off-guard on the 21st day and me and my gf both ended up dying on day 23. What location/biome would you guys recommand for autumn, preparation for winter and winter?

    So, I just bought don't starve giant edition on my Xbox. I really like the game but when I try to edit the world when you first start a game it freezes. Does anyone know how to fix this.

    Trap help needed (Xbox One)

    Hi guys, I've recently got the game and I've been able to survive around day 21 each time. I've resorted to nomadic travelling within vanilla and Shipwrecked as I've encountered a glitch (I think) with the traps. No matter how I use base and bird traps whether baited or not, placed on rabbit and Crabbit holes or left alone. Essentially the trap triggers and it shakes about as a trap should when trigger but I do not get the option to check the trap, rather to just pick it up again which despawns the animal in question. Is there a different button to check it or? I can't seem to find anyone else who has encountered this problem anywhere else so I really hope someone here can help. Thanks in advance!

    ROG Seaworthy Info (Switch)

    Hey guys! I'm getting back into DS on Switch, since my computer is in storage. I'm on day 200 something of Shipwrecked, and want to connect to a ROG world.

    Unfortunately, on the Switch version, the Seaworthy cannot be hammered and broken down to be moved. However, AFAIK it still works, just can't be moved or crafted. If I go to a ROG world, will I be able to get back to my SW world? Is the recipe not showing because I'm in a SW world? Will I be able to hammer the sunken ship to get the trinket (which I'm not sure if it exists in the Switch edition) and then build the Seaworthy in ROG?
